It’s ok to say “no”

Hey everyone! Something I think about a lot in this crazy world is how everyone is afraid to say “no”. There are so many situations whether in personal life or business that we forget the importance of standing up for ourselves or the integrity behind us as a person or our business.

Yes, aim to please! Always give your best customer service when dealing in your business. Say yes to family and friends. However, if someone is disrespecting or threatening you and your livelihood, it is 100% ok to say no and move forward respectfully. It’s 2019, a time when people think bossing others around is somehow ok, take control of your life and business in a positive manner. Be respectful to others but also do not let others walk all over you.

Have you ever been in a position where you were afraid to say no to a customer? How did that make you feel and how did you respond to the situation?

Education!!

This year I have devoted a solid amount of time and money into continued education, both in business and personally. It’s already April and I’ve attended six in class sessions, one hair show convention, and multiple online type classes or other avenues of education where I’m held accountable by another educator.

My biggest take away from my years of working and learning truly is, the more you spend, the more you get. How many times have you spent money on education only to be disappointed that you wasted your time? How many times were you ecstatic that you took the chance and spent what you did?

So what are you doing to grow yourself personally or in your business? With great risk comes great reward. What are you waiting for?

Time Management

Hey humans! It’s Tuesday morning, and as I’ve finished out my gym session I’m reminded of the importance of time management. How do you schedule your days for success? Do you have a solid routine or is each day randomly thrown together in hopes of finishing out your day successful and strong?

However you go about your day, I recommend planning it out. If you plan things, whether gym, business planning, you time, etc as a planned priority you will make them happen. As you roll through your planned day, the unexpected things of each day won’t seem so challenging.

What’s been something successful for you in planning your day? What’s something you need to be more diligent at putting together?

Good Morning!!

Morning Humans!! How are my fellow stylists doing out there? We are less than a month out from April 15th, tax due day! Are you one the loves this day, or one that dreads it?

Personally I love it. It’s a way to compare my previous year/years verify my planning and preparing and see how my hard work has paid off or if I need to change things to do better. No year is perfect and I learn something new all the time!

If this time time of year stresses you out, take a step back, are you organized, do you have a budget in place, are you saving? There’s so many questions to ask yourself, don’t stress, ask for help!

What is is your biggest aha or don’t do for tax time as an independent stylist?

Luxury at its finest!

Hey humans! Happy St Patty’s Day! When you think of having a day off and going somewhere what do you expect out of customer service? If you’re going somewhere to be pampered, fed, or taken care of in one form or another I am sure you expect the utmost quality of service.

So, how are you performing for your guest? What are you giving them that they can’t recieve elsewhere? Up your game guys, from start to finish, make your client not only look amazing but feel like that time in your chair rejuvenated their life!

For my stylists & other entrepreneurs out there, what are some approaches you take to give your client/customers the best experience possible?

A question for any clients or customers, what are little things in the service industry that you truly appreciate?
